PM Imran Khan chairs meeting of the KP cabinet

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan says the government has allocatedrecord funds for the development of tribal districts to remove the sense ofdeprivation of people.

Addressing the provincial cabinet in Peshawar on Saturday, he said thepurpose of merging tribal districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is to bring theseareas equal to the developed parts of the country.

Imran Khan said moving the process of merging of tribal districts andprovision of jobs opportunities for the youth of these areas are the toppriorities of the government.

Prime Minister directed the concerned authorities to take effective stepsto enhance trade and business activities for the socio economic developmentof merged districts.

Imran Khan also directed for focusing on promotion of tourism in KhyberPakhtunkhwa and all efforts should be utilized for this purpose.

Imran Khan also directed for enhancing employment opportunities in theerstwhile FATA areas to ensure socio-economic progress of the region.

He said Saudi Arabia has expressed interest to invest in tourism sector andthe KP Government should focus on fully exploiting the tourism potential inthe province.
