BEIJING – Chinese President Xi Jinping has ordered the military to scale upthe battle preparedness, visualizing worst-case scenarios and asked them toresolutely defend the country’s sovereignty.
He was attending a plenary meeting of the delegation of the People’sLiberation Army and People’s Armed Police Force during the currentparliament session in Beijing.
His comments came in the backdrop of the nearly 20-day standoff betweenIndia and China at the Line of Actual Control.
