Muslims across entire Occupied Kashmir celebrated Eid ul Fitr with Pakistan and NOT with Indian government announcement

ISLAMABAD – As the whole Muslim Ummah enjoys the joys of Eid-ul-Fitr onSunday, the Muslims in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir are alsocelebrating the religious festival with Pakistan under strict militarysiege imposed by India.

An analytical report released by the Research Section of Kashmir MediaService on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr said the occupation authoritiesimposed severe restrictions and deployed Indian troops in every nook andcorner of the territory to prevent people from offering Eid prayers andstaging anti-India demonstrations.

The report pointed out that Indian state terrorism witnessed anunprecedented surge during the holy month of Ramadan and Indian troopsmartyred 25 innocent Kashmiris in 472 cordon and search operations duringthe month.

It said that at least 249 people were injured due to the use of brute forceby the troops during the military operations and peaceful anti-Indiademonstrations.

It added that Indian police and paramilitary personnel arrested 163 personsduring house raids in the month of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, defying restrictions, people held forceful anti-Indiademonstrations in Srinagar, Pulwama, Islamabad, Shopian, Badgam and otherareas.

They raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.

Indian troops and police personnel used brute force at many places,triggering clashes that resulted in injuries of several people.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman in a statement inSrinagar today said that the Kashmiris would continue their freedomstruggle till they achieved their right to self-determination.

Earlier, people in entire occupied Kashmir, remained glued to Pakistanichannels last night to know about the moon sighting.

As soon as it was announced that Eid ul Fitr would be observed in Pakistantoday, same announcements were made in mosques in Srinagar and other townsand villages.

It is a practice of the people in the held territory that they observe Eidand first of Ramadan with Pakistan and not with India or any other country.
