Pakistani leading Model Zara Abid reportedly died in the PIA plane crash

ISLAMABAD – Leading model Zara Abid was also among the victims of PIAflight PK8303linkwhichcrashed in Karachi yesterday.

The plane had 99 people on board and Sindh Health Department officials saidtwo passengers, Zubair and Zafar Masood, survived the crash, while 97 wereconfirmed dead.

Zara Abid was a rising star of the Pakistani fashion industry and this yearshe won the Best Family Model award at the Hum Style Awards.

She worked with almost all the leading designers of the industry andstarted her career with Sana Safi Naz while she was about to make her bigscreen debut with Azeem Sajjad’s film Chaudhry.

People are paying homage to Zara Abid on social media and she was describedas a great and hardworking star.

Actress Ayesha Omar wrote in her post” Zara and I won our biggest awardsthis year, together, at the Hum style awards, in January. That was the lasttime I met her and the only time I got to really connect with her. It wasme who presented the award to her, along with the two Tariqs.

She was weeping with joy on stage when she received her award and Iremember hugging her tightly and saying baby, you deserve this so much. Shewas too overwhelmed with emotion, to talk much on stage.”
