ISLAMABAD – Facebook, one of most famous social media platforms to connectpeople during the coronavirus lockdown, has introduced a new ‘care emoji’for its users show extra support in the ongoing difficult times.
When users will hold down the like button on mobile app or desktop, theywill see care ‘emoji’ – a yellow face hugging a red heart on basic Facebookservice and purplish heart on messenger app.
Facebook also shared a message while sharing the emoji, saying, “EvenApart, We’re In This Together.
We’have added a new reaction so you can show extra support while many of usare apart. We hope this helps you, your family and your friends feel a bitmore connected”.

The social media giant is also making efforts to save people from fakeinformation regarding the coronavirus, besides connecting them to accurateinformation from health experts.
The company said on its website, “We’ve now directed over 2 billion peopleto resources from the WHO and other health authorities through our COVID-19Information Center and pop-ups on Facebook and Instagram with over 350million people clicking through to learn more”.
