ISLAMABAD – Chairman National Disaster Management Authority LieutenantGeneral Muhammad Afzal says the government is utilizing all availableresources to provide personal protection equipment to the doctors, nursesand paramedics who are fighting as frontline workers against Coronapandemic.
Addressing a media briefing in Islamabad on Monday, he said the authorityalong with National Institute of Health is working collectively to increasethe existing number of coronavirus testing labs in the country to enhancethe testing capacity.
The Chairman said with continuous efforts, testing capacity for Coronavirushas been increased and now almost seven thousand tests are being conductedon daily basis.
He said some local and private companies have started making PPEs which isgood omen for country’s economy.

He said now N-95 masks are also being prepared in the country and differentlocal companies will start their distribution of 20 to 50 thousand masksper day from tomorrow.
