Lahore: Punjab government announced major decisions over the coronavirusspread.The Punjab government has imposed a ban on holding any kind ofceremonies at homes in order control the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

People has been barred for holding any event at homes and private placeswhile gym clubs, snooker clubs will also remain closed till April 4.

Earlier today, Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid confirmed that thereare 78 coronavirus cases in the province.

Addressing a press conference, Rashid said that 384 tests were conductedyesterday in Punjab and 320 peopled tested negative for the infection. Shesaid that 60 patients are those who had returned from Iran.

The minister said that Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute has beenevacuated to establish isolation wards, adding that the wards have alsobeen set up in all teaching hospitals in the province.

“We have 500 rooms for isolation,” she said, adding that efforts are beingmade to enhance the capacity.

Rashid went on to say all the patients were out of danger and being treatedat hospitals. There are four patients at Lahore’s Mayo Hospital.

She advised people to stay at home instead of going on trips during thevacations. “We have to go into lockdown if people would not adoptprecautions against the disease,” Rashid warned.

She further asked the people to add more vegetables with green leafs totheir diet, adding that 80 per cent patients are recovering with the use ofPanadol.

She also encouraged the way of working from home.
