ISLAMABAD – Former Pakistani cricketer and current commentator, Ramiz Rajaon Monday shared his thoughts about Lahore Qalandars batsman Ben Dunk,adding that the ferocious batsman should be bestowed with honorarycitizenship so that Pakistan can take complete advantage of his impeccablehitting abilities on the international circuit.
Ben Dunk was named the player of the match against Karachi Kings for hisexplosive knock. He was one run away from scoring a remarkable century.
The cricketer-turned-commentator, in a recent video on YouTube who followedBen Dunk’s batting closely, was pretty much impressed with the way he wentabout his business against Karachi Kings, with emphasis much on mountingpressure on the opposition.
The commentator lauded the 32-year-old batsman for his marvellous inningsagainst Karachi Kings where he smashed 99 off 40 balls, steering his sideto an eight-wicket win on Sunday. Ramiz Raja said Ben Dunk is a totallydifferent player altogether while also adding that he played a terrificknock.
“Ben Dunk is a completely different class of strike force and he played amarvellous knock,” he added.
Ramiz Raja opened that Ben Dunk should be awarded citizenship as Pakistanis finding it hard to produce players Dunk.
“I think we should give him [Ben Dunk] honorary citizenship as well Weshould ask him to play for Pakistan because my wish is to see Pakistanibatsmen do similar kind of power-hitting. We haven’t seen any do this kindof hitting except for Shadab Khan this season,” Ramiz Raja added.
