KARACHI -Sindh government takes important decision over PSL MatchesSpectators. In a bid to control rising cases of Coronavirus in Karachi,Sindh government has announced that it will screen spectators coming towatch upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Discussing the situation with media, provincial minister Nasir Hussain Shahsaid that the first patient of the novel coronavirus has been treated anddischarged from the hospital. “We have issued an advisory, everybody comingto watch the match will have to be screened,” he announced whilereiterating that PSL matches in Karachi will go ahead as per schedule.
Nasir Hussain Shah also said that steps were being taken to control thespread of the disease, including “attempts to install thermal screening,”while advising travellers from Iran, South Korea and China to exercisecaution.
He also informed the press that 8,000 people had crossed into the countryvia the Taftan border, but said that this matter should not be”politicized”.
The novel coronavirus has so far infected 15 people in Sindh, with two newcases surfacing today in the provincial capital, taking the national tallyto 18 cases.
