ISLAMABAD – The White House on Tuesday said US President Donald Trump hasnot undergone testing for coronaviruslink despite being in close contactwith lawmakers who are now self-quarantining, reported *CNN.link*
“The President has not received COVID-19 testing because he has neither hadprolonged close contact with any known confirmed COVID-19 patients nor doeshe have any symptoms. President Trump remains in excellent health, and hisphysician will continue to closely monitor him,” said White House presssecretary Stephanie Grisham.
“Per current CDC guidelines, medical professionals should base testingdecisions on patient symptoms and exposure history,” she added.
Alarm mounted further after at least two Republican lawmakers who recentlymet with the president announced they were going into self-quarantine,fearing that they were exposed to the virus at a conservative conferencejust outside Washington.
