ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Indian diplomats clash at the top United Nationsforum.
Pakistan has strongly raised serious concerns over human rights in Jammuand Kashmir at the 43rd Session of the Human Rights Council.
India on Friday slammed Pakistan asking it to stop terror funding anddismantle terrorist camps operating from its soil and territories under itscontrol.
It also asked Pakistan to end the illegal and forcible occupation andreverse te demographic changes in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Exercising the right of reply after Pakistan raised concerns over humanrights in Jammu and Kashmir at the 43rd Session of the Human Rights Councilhere, First Secretary in India’s Permanent Mission Vimarsh Aryan said thatthe international community cannot be misled by Pakistani hystericalreactions at all global forums to malign India.
India’s statement came a week after the global terror financing watchdogFinancial Action Task Force (FATF) in Paris decided to retain Pakistan inits ‘Grey List’.
Giving Pakistan a 10-point advice list, the Indian diplomat asked it tostop terror funding and dismantle terrorist camps operating in the countryand territories under its control.
“End the illegal and forcible occupation and reverse the demographicchanges in Pakistan Jammu and Kashmir.
India also asked Pakistan to stop public advocacy and support forterrorists by Pakistani leadership at the highest level. “Take structuralreforms to develop a semblance of democracy in Pakistan.
