Pakistan Foreign Office warns India against strategic miscalculation

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan says the ceasefire violations by India are a threat toregional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation.

According to Foreign Office Spokesperson, Aisha Farooqui, Pakistan summoneda senior Indian diplomat today and lodged Pakistan’s strong protest overthe ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces in Nezapir Sectoralong the Line of Control yesterday.

The Spokesperson said a 40 year old innocent civilian, resident of villageMandhar, sustained serious injuries due to indiscriminate and unprovokedfiring by Indian occupation forces.

She said the Indian occupation forces along the LoC and Working Boundaryhave continuously been targeting civilian populated areas with artilleryfire, heavy-caliber mortars, and automatic weapons, which still continues.

The Spokesperson said the deliberate targeting of civilian populated areasis indeed deplorable and contrary to human dignity, international humanrights and humanitarian laws.
