ISLAMABAD – Leading US daily the Washington Post says freedom of expressionis under attack in India as the country heads down the path ofauthoritarianism and hyper-nationalism.
In an article, the Paper quotes several journalists who are facingpressures and intimidations from the ruling BJP.
While some journalists are abused on social media for criticizing thegovernment, others are forced to resign for supporting the stance ofOccupied Kashmir and questioning the government’s decision to revokespecial status of the territory.
