Online Game PUBG to be banned in Pakistan on request of Punjab Police

LAHORE – PUBG to be banned in Pakistan on request of Punjab Police. PunjabPolice has decided to move the autoritie concerend for banning an onlinegame, PUBG, due to its negative effects on users.

The decision was taken after two boys committed suicide as they had beenbarred by their family from playing the online game.

DIG Operations Ashfaq Khan said that a letter seeking ban on the game willbe sent to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and PakistanTelecommunication Authority (PTA).

He remarked that PUBG game was more dangerious than addictions. He alsolamented over the suicide by two youth in four days in Lahore.

The online multiplayer battle royale game is among the most downloadedgames of 2020 across the world.

Earlier, a citizen had moved the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking ban on theonline game. The court had sent the matter to the PTA for a decision on it.A decision is yet to come.

The infamous game has already banned in Iraq, Nepal, the Indian state ofGujarat and the Indonesian province of Aceh.
