ISLAMABAD – Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud hasreaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s traditional support for the Kashmir cause, theForeign Office said on Monday.
In a statement issued here following the telephonic conversation betweenSaudi Foreign Minister and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, theForeign Office mentioned the support extended by Saudi Arabia on the issueof Kashmir.
Prince Faisal also attended today the Emergency Virtual Meeting of theOrganization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Contact Group on Jammu andKashmir, convened on Pakistan’s call.
Foreign Minister Qureshi shared deep concern over the continuing doublelockdown as well as the intensification of military crackdown by Indianoccupation forces and attempts to change the demographic structure of theoccupied territory by introducing new domicile law.

The two foreign ministers agreed to remain in close contact to take forwardthe important bilateral agenda and close cooperation in various fields. Thematters of mutual interest including COVID-19 pandemic and enhancedbilateral cooperation were discussed.
