The Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, ShafqatMahmood has issued a no-objection certificate to the British Council forholding the special O Level examinations in the country starting in thelast week of July.
The examinations will start on July 26 and will last till August 6, ShafqatMahmood said in a tweet on Thursday.
He added that the move will facilitate O Level students to get promotionsto A level or FA and FSc examinations from September.
“This kind of examination in July is unprecedented and I am happy thatCambridge is arranging it,” he said.——————————

The minister understood that the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has affected allsectors, however, the education sector was the most hurt.
“We have been taking difficult decisions to ensure that education/learningcontinues. Every decision has pros and cons but for us, theinterest/welfare of students is always paramount,” he said.
