Saudi Arabian authorities have permitted pilgrims from across the world toperform Hajj this year. The decision has been taken with a condition ofimplementing strict precautionary measures in order to curb the spread ofCOVID-19 in the country.
Maulana Tahir Ashrafi serving as the Special Representative to the PrimeMinister on Religious Harmony has recently announced that the authoritiesof Saudi Arabia link have grantedpermission for 60,000 overseas Hajj pilgrims, from across the globe,including Pakistan.
On the contrary, Saudi government has not yet approved Chinese coronavirusvaccines. In light of the aforementioned concern, Pakistan has requested SaudiArabia link to approve any of theChinese vaccines so that Pakistani pilgrims do not face any problem inentering the Kingdom.
The spokesman Foreign office Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri stated that Pakistan isin conversation with the Saudi authorities with respect to voicing theproblem of approved vaccines to ensure entrance of Pakistani Hajj and Umrahpilgrims to Saudi Arabia link.
