Authorities have decided to auction the Sheikhupura properties of formerprime minister Nawaz Sharif link onMay 20, 2021.

Meanwhile, the decision of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sheikhupura to set adate for the bidding on properties has been challenged in the IslamabadHigh Court (IHC).

The petitioner Ashraf Malik has argued that he had bought 88 kanals of landin Sheikhupura from Nawaz Shariflink andalso paid Rs75 million to the former premier.

He further said that due to the arrest of Nawaz Shariflink, the sale deed could not beimplemented and he has also approached the civil court for theimplementation of the sale deed.

In addition, another petitioner named Aslam Aziz has also challenged thedecision to auction 105 acres of fruit orchards in high court and asked thecourt to stop the process.
