In India, strict lockdown has been imposed in capital New Delhi for sixdays starting tonight after the country’s healthcare system reached theverge of collapse because of the worsening COVID-19 situation.

In a tweet, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said New Delhi is facingacute shortage of hospital beds, medical oxygen supplies and keymedicines.

He also accused the Narendra Modi led BJP government in the Centre ofsharply reducing Delhi’s oxygen supply and diverting it to other states.
