United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has approved Pakistan’s fourresolutions aimed at strengthening regional and international peace andsecurity.

The resolutions were recommended by the 193-member Assembly’s DisarmamentCommittee where the texts were adopted by overwhelming support of itsmembership.

Of these, three resolutions dealt with regional disarmament, conventionalarms control at regional and sub-regional levels as well as ConfidenceBuilding Measures in the regional and sub-regional context while the fourthPakistani resolution sought security assurances for non-nuclear states.
