Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday urged the people to stand against thedrug menace and save the younger generation.
According to the details, while addressing a ceremony at the Anti-NarcoticsForce (ANF) headquarters in Rawalpindi, Prime Minister Imran Khan urged Heurged the people to unite against the drug menace so that the youngergeneration can be saved from the scourge of drugs. He also directed otherministries to play their role in drug prevention.
He said that drug addiction has become a curse for society, adding that thegovernment has vowed to save Pakistani youth from the problem.
In his address, the Prime Minister said that “Drugs are silent killers.Unfortunately, this problem has penetrated schools and colleges. We have tocollectively fight this problem.”
Imran Khan said that more than 7 million young people in Pakistan havefallen prey to drug addiction, which is a dangerously high number.“Whenever a person becomes a drug addict, their entire family suffers. Ifthere are 7 million drug addicts in the country, it means that 70 millionfamilies are struggling.” PM said.
Imran Khan said that the use of drugs in educational institutions is aworrying sign and all measures will be taken to end its spread. He saidthat the government is effectively taking action against those involved indrugs-related
