Lahore: Vice-president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), MaryamNawaz, said on Sunday that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is aboutto take “major decisions”.
Implying that it’s either sink or swim for the opposition alliance, ofwhich her party is a member, Maryam Nawaz said at Social Media WorkersConvention that only “victory announcement” at the Lahore PDM rally remainsto be done. “The selected group is scared of Lahore rally. I request allnominated members to not yield to pressure,” she said.
“It is important to be aware about who is doing the things that arehappening in the country,” Maryam Nawaz told the crowd at the convention,repeating once again that the 2018 general elections was “stolen”.
“Despite being on the same page why is this bus being driven by ‘selected’not moving,” she questioned. The daughter of former Prime Minister NawazSharif then talked about towards rising inflation, remarking that everydaynews comes in that inflation is rising. “One meal is costing more than Rs.1000, there is no gas but bills are rising. Who used to say he will makethe green passport respected? Forget about respect, flights from thecountry are banned across the world,” she continued. Furthering herscathing attack on the government, Maryam Nawaz asked of Prime MinisterImran Khan what danger is there to him. “Nawaz Sharif used to face danger;when he took power there were explosions every day. He fought two wars withhis life on the line. Yet he used to be present among the people. Ask thisfake Prime Minister to come out among the people,” she dared the Premier.
Continuing in the line she took up at the Multan rally, Maryam Nawazpointed towards the LNG scandal and remarks passed by the Supreme Court onthe Billion Tree Tsunami project and sarcastically said again “But he ishonest”.
Talking about the media, Maryam Nawaz said that if media refuses to be atool in someone’s arsenal, then no one can dare to divide it. “When Panamahappened, Nawaz Sharif was asked to resign or else this will happen or thatwill happen. But Nawaz Sharif knew what he would have to face,” she toldthe attendees.
