DUBAI – Five Pakistan cricketers, three men and two women, have beennominated for the International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI teams of thedecade for their respective sides.

The ICC will pick 11 players from the list of 16 players published by theICC for the Men’s ODI XI and the Women’s ODI XI for the decade.

Pakistan’s former spinner Saeed Ajmal, ex-captain and current head coach ofPakistan team Misbahul Haq and all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez have beennominated for the Men’s ODI XI Team of the Decade.

Javeria Khan and Sana Mir are in the run to be selected for the Women’s XIteam.

Earlier, Misbah, who led the team in 2015 ICC World Cup, was nominated forthe Spirit of Cricket Award of the Decade whereas leg-spinner Yasir Shahwas nominated for the prestigious category of Men’s Test Player of theDecade.

The awards are announced annually to celebrate the outstanding performanceof players in the past ten years.
