Prime Minister Imran Khan will be chairing a meeting of the federal cabinetin Islamabad today.
According to the details, the meeting will reviewlinkthecountry’s economic, political situation. Besides, it will be discussing thelatest developments on the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The cabinet will discuss a 14-point agenda during the meeting. As persources, the law minister will give a briefing on the issue of theinclusion of MPs as members of the board of directors of nationalinstitutions.
In addition to this, the Minister for Economic Affairs will take theCabinet into confidence on the issue of debt relief from the G20 countries.The cabinet will also be briefed on the vacant vacancies of heads ofnational institutions.
Sources further said that ratification of the decisions taken by theEconomic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet in its last meeting isalso part of the agenda.
Separately, PM Imran Khan will address a National Coordination Committee(NCC) meeting to take important decisions regarding increasing Coronaviruscases across the country.
According to sources, the PM will review the current COVID-19 situation andtake decisions on smart lockdowns and other measures to curb the infection.
NCOC officials and the Ministry of Health and Education will attend themeeting. They will discuss the growing trend of COVID-19 infections acrossthe country.
The premier will be briefed on the measures taken to contain the spread ofcoronavirus and will give the final approval on the closure of educationalinstitutions.
