NCOC issues new guidelines over Coronavirus second wave

Islamabad: The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has issued newguidelines regarding wedding ceremonies in specific cities.

According to details, the new guidelines will be implemented from November20 in various cities of all provinces.

In Punjab, the guidelines are applicable in seven cities including Lahore,Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur and Faisalabad.Meanwhile, Sindh’s Karachi and Hyderabad, Balochistan’s Quetta, KhyberPakhtunkhwa’s Peshawar and Azad Kashmir’s Muzaffarabad and Mirpur will alsobe bound to follow new instructions.

As per guidelines, the venue of wedding ceremony will be selected afterconsultations with the local health authority. Moreover, indoor weddingshave been banned and only outdoor ceremonies will be allowed.

The marquees will not be allowed to hold wedding ceremonies. The use ofcanopy tents in outdoor weddings will also be prohibited.

Up to 1000 guests will be allowed to attend outdoor ceremony while socialdistancing must be maintained between guests. The event will have toconclude within two hours.

The host of the wedding will be responsible for the implementation ofcoronavirus Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The host will also haveto provide masks and sanitizers to the guests.

Buffet dinner or lunch will not be allowed and food can only be served inlunch boxes.
