Pakistan makes strong progress in 21 out of 27 actionable points from FATF

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has asked the FATF forum topositively respond to the significant progress made by Pakistan to complywith its action plan.

Talking to the media persons in Islamabad on Friday, he said out of twentyseven actionable points, Pakistan has shown one hundred percent progress ontwenty one. Progress has also been made to meet the remaining six points.

The Minister said the world also recognizes the steps taken by the presentgovernment including legislative and administrative measures to checkterror financing and money laundering.

The Foreign Minister said India will not succeed in its sordid designs topush Pakistan into the blacklist.

Responding to a question, the Foreign Minister said Pakistan has neveraccepted New Delhi’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5th August last yearin Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan is concerned over the efforts being madeby India to change the demographic structure of the occupied territory.

To another question, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said our enemies want to stokeunrest in Gilgit Baltistan. He said any decision regarding the future ofthe territory will be taken with broad national consensus.
