Afghan Taliban ambush Afghan Governor in a deadly attack

PUL-E-KHOMRI (Agencies): The Baghlan Jalga district governor wounded in aTaliban ambush with his two bodyguards.

Faiz Mohammad Amiri, Deh Salah district governor of Baghlan, said that acar carrying Abdul Wali Sharifi, Jalga district governor of Baghlan, whowas traveling from Jalga district to Deh Salah district, faced with ambushof Taliban in Mir Ghazi area in which he was wounded with his twobodyguards.

He added: “In a clash between the guards of Jalga district governor andTaliban, the Taliban were forced to flee.”
