China says it is willing to develop relations with the United States basedon mutual respect, goodwill and sincerity.

Addressing a virtual ceremony in connection with China’s national Day,Chinese ambassador to Washington Cui Tiankai said relations with the UnitedStates are facing difficulties but the two countries should lose no time inputting these on the right track.

He said a sound and stable China-US relationship is in the interests ofboth peoples.
