Lahore: Chairman of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority,Lieutenant General (Retd.) Asim Bajwa held a productive meeting with ChiefMinister Punjab Usman Buzdar in which both sides agreed to expedite work onCPEC projects in Punjab.
According to details, the meeting discussed in detail the progress onongoing projects in Punjab under CPEC and agreed to expedite work.
The meeting also discussed measures to develop the agriculture sector ofPakistan.
On the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister said that work on CPEC projects isbeing carried out on priority basis as per the vision of Prime MinisterImran Khan.
“CPEC projects in Punjab are being completed with transparency and willimprove the economy. Test run of Orange Line Metro train has been conductedin Lahore and it is scheduled to be made operational by the end of nextmonth,” CM said.
Following the meeting, Asim Bajwa wrote on twitter,
“Productive mtng with CM Punjab,discussed SEZs, agriculture transformationmodels for Punjab under CPEC framework& operationalisation of Orange Train.CM,in presence of concerned ministers directed to extend fullest supportfor envisaged CPEC projects #cpec #cpecmakingprogres.”
The meeting was attended by Secretary Transport, Principal Secretary toChief Minister Punjab and concerned officials.
