Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved in principle measures to revive filmIndustry, promote our cultural and societal values.

This was stated by SAPM on Information and Broadcasting Asim Saleem Bajwain a tweet today (Friday).

He said the Prime Minister, while chairing a meeting, also directed toimprove production quality and take entertainment to masses. He asked theministries concerned to prepare implementation plan in this regard.

Meanwhile, in a tweet today, Chairman Standing Committee on Information andBroadcasting Senator Faisal Javed Khan said a comprehensive, effective anduseful policy for revival of the film industry will be implemented soonwhich will benefit our culture, national narrative and tourism.

He said the film industry had declined to this level because previousgovernments had done nothing to promote it.
