Pakistan registers strong protest with senior Indian diplomat

A senior Indian diplomat was summoned to the Foreign Office today toregister Pakistan’s strong protest over ceasefire violation by the Indianoccupation forces along the Line of Control yesterday resulting in seriousinjuries to three innocent civilians.

Due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by the Indian occupation forcesin Tattapani and Jandrot Sectors ,three civilians sustained seriousinjuries.

Condemning the deplorable targeting of innocent civilians by the Indianoccupation forces, it was underscored that such senseless acts are in clearviolation of the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding, and are also against allestablished humanitarian norms and professional military conduct.

The Indian diplomat was told that these egregious violations ofinternational law reflect consistent Indian attempts to escalate thesituation along the LoC and are a threat to regional peace and security.

It was conveyed that by raising tensions along the LoC and the Workingboundary, India cannot divert attention from the grave human rightssituation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian side was also urged to allow the United Nations MilitaryObserver Group in India and Pakistan to play its mandated role as per UNSecurity Council Resolutions.
