ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan-China border via Khunjerab Pass has been reopenedfor trade.
According to details, the border will remain open under strict standardoperating procedures (SOPs) till 30th of this month. It was closed fortourism purposes to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
Earlier, the border was opened for 13 days, from 29th July till 10thAugust, to evacuate Pakistani containers loaded with Chinese goods strandedin Kashgar. It may be mentioned that the border has been closed since theoutbreak of Covid-19 epidemic but both countries had given permission forits reopening for 13 days.
