Rawalpindi: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursdaythat unfortunate rise in violent incidents on both sides of Pak-Afghanborder is meant to derail Afghanistan Peace Process.
The ISPR in a statement said, “Pakistan earnestly believes that bothcountries deserve peace and progress”.
It further vowed that both countries will together defeat all spoilers.
Hopes for restoration of peace in the neighbouring country brightened afterthe Afghan government and Taliban completed the process of prisonersrelease.
Under the US-backed deal, both sides are set to engage in the peace talksto find a way out of the war.
The process of peace talks were supposed to begin in March but werefrequently delayed over a prisoner swap that included the release ofhundreds of Taliban.
On Thursday, Vice President of Afghanistan, Amrullah Saleh escaped a bombblast in Kabul.
