National University of Technology (NUTECH) has handed over a locallydesigned and built ventilator to the National Radio and TelecommunicationCenter (NRTC).
According to the Federal Minister of Science and Technology, Chaudhry FawadHussain, NRTC will soon initiate the mass production of the NUTECHventilator.——————————
NUTECH scientists and engineers have also started work on an indigenouslydeveloped 3D printer and portable x-ray machine under the COVID-19initiative launched by the Science and Tech Ministry.

Recently, the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) approved aventilator designed locally by Alsons, a Karachi-based group specializingin the manufacturing of mechanical components.
In July, NRTC had started the commercial manufacturing of Pakistan’s firstlocally built ventilator named “SafeVent SP100.”
