Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Poverty Alleviationand Social Protection, Dr. Sania Nishtar has approved the formation of theCyber Crime Wing.
“In order to protect the interests of Ehsaas beneficiaries, I have directedthe management to expedite the establishment of the “Cyber Crime Wing” inBISP (Benazir Income Support Program) for the purpose of preventing andcontrolling incidents where criminal elements commit fraud using digitaltechnology,” said Nishtar in a tweet post on Tuesday.
The Cyber Crime Wing will be set up in BISP with the aim of using digitaltechnology in cracking down on the corrupt elements who fool the masseswith deception and forgery.
Nishtar directed Ehsas Management to complete the process of formation ofthis wing as soon as possible.

In another development, the government has opened the Ehsaas UndergraduateScholarship Portal for the submission of online scholarship applicationsfor the academic year 2020-21. Nishtar said that the portal will remainopen till the 30th of next month.
