Saturday holiday abolished by Federal government

Islamabad: Federal Ministry of Education has abolished Saturday holiday forall federal educational institutions, besides announcing that wintervacations will not be given this year.

The ministry has sent a notification in this regard to the FederalDirectorate of Education.

As per the notification, special classes will be arranged on Saturdays inorder to overcome the educational losses suffered by the students. It addedthat teacher will arrange classes for students who are weak in theirstudies.

The ministry also decided that examination for Matric and Intermediate willbe taken with a delay of 15 days.

Earlier today, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has rejected thefalse news social media accounts in his name are circulating that schoolswill remain shut until October.

Taking to twitter, he wrote that education ministers will meet on September07 to finally decide on reopening of educational institutions.
