ISLAMABAD – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has on Wednesdaymade the nomination papers for the upcoming Senate elections available andthe electoral program will be issued on February 11.

According to the ECP, nomination papers for Islamabad seats can be receivedfrom the Secretariat whereas for provincial seats, the papers are availableat offices of all provincial election commissioners.

The candidates have been directed to affix party ticket with theirnomination papers at the time of submission. Independent candidates aregiven exemption to attach party ticket.

Furthermore, the ECP has allowed the candidates to spend Rs 1.5 million onelections and directed them to open specific account in any bank in thisregard. They will not be permitted to spend from any other account.
