The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) posted blanket gains against all major currenciesin the interbank currency market today.
PKR gained 15 paisas against the US Dollar (USD) today, after opening theweek with a loss of 4 paisas, closing at Rs. 160.63 to the USD on Tuesday(26 January) as compared to Rs. 160.79 on Monday.——————————
After a few volatile working days against other major currencies, PKRposted notable gains against most major currencies and inched up againstothers. The highest gain for PKR came against the GBP, where PKR posted again of Rs. 1.42 on Tuesday after losing 44 paisas on Monday.

PKR also improved notably against Euro and Australian Dollar today, with animprovement of 85 paisas and 86 paisas, respectively. This comes after again of 2 paisas for PKR against the Euro and a loss of 5 paisas againstthe AUD on Monday.
Against the Canadian Dollar, the gains for PKR were notable on the secondday of the current week. PKR posted an improvement of 63 paisas against CADtoday, adding to yesterday’s gain of 12 paisas.——————————
The PKR has gradually been posting losses against both the UAE Dirham (AED)and the Saudi Arabian Riyal (SAR). Monday also saw the same trend but witha negligible loss of one paisa against each. Tuesday, however, saw PKRimprove by 4 paisas against both these currencies.
