Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Javed Iqbal said that Rs487bn have been recovered from corrupt elements over the last three years.
Javed Iqbal addressed the traders in Islamabad on Tuesday. He said that1235 references are pending before different courts and even one percent ofthem are not against the businessmen.
The Chairman NAB however said that the corrupt elements will not be spared.“Billions of rupees have been recovered from illegal housing societies andreturned the amount to the affectees,” he added.
Moreover, Iqbal informed the traders that NAB is no longer pursuing taxcases against the business community. He said facilitating the traders andbusinessmen is our priority.
Above all, the Chairman said that it will continue to perform its dutieshonestly without any fear.
