Supreme Court (SC) on Friday has dismissed bail plea of Pakistan MuslimLeague-Nawaz (PML-N) member and Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly HamzaShahbaz link in money launderingcase.
According to details, the plea was disposed of after Hamza Shahbazlink it.
Justice Yahya Afridi, during the hearing, remarked that the issue which hasnot been raised in high court cannot be directly taken to the SC. Theaccused should better approach high court after the report ofaccountability court, he said.
Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif told that there was no doctor dealing with cancerpatients present in the government panel, therefore, he requested the courtto include his personal doctor in the board.
On November 11, 2020, Mian Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz Sharifwere indicted in money laundering reference by accountability court.
All the accused in the case pleaded not guilty. Shehbaz Sharif, whilerejecting allegations of the anti-graft watchdog, said that he was beingpolitically victimized.
On September 28, 2020, NAB team had arrested Shehbaz Sharif in moneylaundering case after Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected his bail plea.
