The iPhone 12 series was expected to feature 120Hz displays at first, butthat did not happen. A report now claims that the iPhone 13 Pro models willhave it instead, and the panels will be sourced from Samsung as always.
The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max will have LTPO OLED displays with a smooth120Hz refresh rate. LTPO panels are more power-efficient than their LTPScounterparts and also support an adaptive refresh rate without requiringany additional hardware. The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini will continue to useLTPS panels with a 60Hz refresh rate for another year.——————————

This is expected to change in 2022 as all iPhone 14 models are rumored tofeature LTPO OLEDs. Apple may also source some of its displays from LGDisplay to reduce its reliance on Samsung Display next year.
However, Samsung is currently the only company that can meet Apple’srequirements as it is planning to produce 60,000 display panels a monththis year. In contrast, LG is only able to produce 6,000 panels a month atthe moment but aims to reach 25,000 by the end of 2021.——————————
