Pakistan were ranked number one in T20I cricket for over two years, won theICC Champions Trophy in 2017, and were ranked as the number one Test teamin this decade, but none of the players were able to make the cut. Pakistancaptain, Babar Azam, was ranked as the number one T20I batsman for over twoyears but was ignored in favor of other international stars.

Veteran Pakistani all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez, failed to make the cutdespite brilliant performances with the bat and the ball. Hafeez scored1,726 runs and picked up 47 wickets, but was overlooked in place of GlennMaxwell who performed worse than him in both departments.

Indian pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, was picked in the T20I team despite not beingin the top 20 wicket-takers in the 2010s. Tim Southee, Chris Jordan, NuwanKulusakera, Mustafizur Rahman all picked up more wickets than him thisdecade.——————————
