Former CM Shahbaz Sharif faces the worst blow from NAB

LAHORE – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has seized assets ofPML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and six others in a money laundering case onTuesday.

Due to the interruption during the hearing, accountability court JudgeJawadul Hassan while expressing displeasure over the chaos in the courtroomasked “those who have come to meet Shehbaz Sharif, please leave the room”.

He warned of leaving the proceedings if discipline is not maintained in thecourt.

During the hearing, the NAB Lahore director-general submitted a report,informing the court that assets of Shehbaz Sharif’s wife Nusrat Shehbaz,son Sulaiman Shahbaz, daughter Rabia Imran and son-in-law Haroon Yousafhave been frozen.

Earlier, Judge Jawadul Hassan had issued a two-page verdict, directing theauthorities to present an implementation report over seizing assets ofShehbaz’s family.

On December 8, the accountability court declared Shehbaz Sharif’s wife,Nusrat Shehbaz, proclaimed offender for not attending hearings of the moneylaundering case.
