India gives a frustrating response over issue of firing at UN Mission officials at LoC

The Pakistan Army on Friday stated the Indian Army of “deliberately”targeting a United Nations Military Observers (UNMO) vehicle in theChirikot Sector along the Line of Control, an allegation dismissed by Indiaas untrue, Indian media has reported.

“The Indian Army resorted to unprovoked fire in the Chirikot Sector of theLine of Control. Indian troops deliberately targeted a United Nationsvehicle with two UN military observers on board,” the Pakistan Army said ina statement.

While the vehicle was damaged, the two UNMOs luckily remained unharmed, itsaid. Military sources in New Delhi rejected the allegation by the PakistanArmy.
