LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar presided over the 39thcabinet meeting at CM Office on Thursday.
The meeting gave approval to further extend the lease of state land inCholistan and Rahim Yar Khan on previous rates to the President of UAE.This initiative of the Punjab cabinet will further strengthen the tiesbetween both the countries.
The meeting gave principle approval of Rs five billion loan to the RaviUrban Development Authority for acquiring the land.
Moreover, the meeting also approved for providing state land for the masterplan of Ravi River Front Urban Development Project. Authority will presentits business plan and financial model for this purpose.
LDA Chairman Rashid Aziz and Vice Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Imran gave abriefing to the cabinet about Ravi River Front Urban Development Project.The cabinet simplified the long process of issuance of NOCs for installingpetrol pumping in the province by reducing the issuance period from 90 daysto 30 days.
The Punjab cabinet, under 3 per cent special quota for visually impairedpersons has also approved to give special relaxation in upper age limit inthe employment. The Punjab cabinet again rejected the proposal of gettingcharges in major hospitals.
