Pakistan cricket team management is hopeful that young leg spinner ShadabKhan would reach full fitness before the first T20 international againstNew Zealand on Friday and lead the team in place of injured Babar Azam.
Shadab, who is carrying a leg injury, had his fitness monitored after theteam arrived in Auckland.
According to the Sources within the management that the all-rounder’scondition has improved significantly and even bowled in nets.
Shadab’s fitness will be under review during Wednesday’s afternoon trainingsession as well.
Pakistan team have so far a disastrous tour of New Zealand, what with theircamp getting hit with Covid-19 and quarantines and now several of theirstar performers picking up untimely injuries, including captain Babar Azamand Imam-ul-Haq.
