The leaders of the Pakistan Democratic Movementlink(PDM)have been booked on Tuesday for holding a public gathering atMinar-e-Pakistan in Lahore.
According to the details, police registered a case against the centralleadership of PDM. The case has been filed at Lari Adda police station inwhich PDM central leaders were nominated including PML-N Vice PresidentMaryam Nawaz and other party leaders including Khawaja Saad Rafique, AhsanIqbal, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Rana Sanaullah, and Marriyum Aurangzeb.
The case was registered over the complaint of PHA security officer MuhammadZameer under 15 different sections for violating standard operatingprocedures (SOPs) of COVID-19, sound system act and government orders.
On Monday While chairing the PML-N’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) andCentral Working Committee (CWC) meetings in Lahore, Maryam expresseddispleasure with the party leaders after they failed to bring out thepeople to the jalsagah.
“Lahore division leadership failed to bring people to PDM public gatheringat Minar-e-Pakistan.” It was expected that 500,000 people will attend therally but unfortunately, the rally could not attract as much audience as itwas being expected,” said the PML-N leader.
