LAHORE – Police on Monday gave a clean chit to Pakistan cricket teamcaptain Babar Azam in harassment case.
Additional Sessions judge Nauman Naeem took up the petition of a womanHameeza Mukhtar against Pakistan skipper.
During the proceedings, the counsel of petitioner Hameeza Mukhtar soughttime to submit documents in the court and said that the whole case is basedon medical reports.
Barrister Harris Azmat, counsel of Babar Azam while appealing the court toreject the petitioner’s plea said that Azam is a national cricketer andhero, adding that Hameeza Mukhtar started black mailing the nationalcricket team captain in 2016 and police cleared Azam in the investigation.

Police also submitted an investigation report in the court which statedthat the national cricketer was found innocent and the woman was levellingbaseless allegations. The court should reject the petitioner’s plea.
