PTI government mulls re opening Swiss cases against former President Asif Zardari

On Thursday, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhrylink said that Swiss cases againstformer president Asif Ali Zardarilink can be reopened after thediscovery of record by the Broadsheet inquiry commission.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Fawad Chaudhrylink said that the legal team wasworking on Swiss cases record against Zardari.

“We are thankful to Broadsheet inquiry commission for finding Swiss casesrecord against Zardari,” said Chaudhry, National Accountability Bureau(NAB) now has a record of Swiss cases and they can reopen cases againstZardari, he added.

The Broadsheet inquiry commission report was made public today after theapproval of the federal cabinet that met with PM Imran Khan in the chair.

The commission has blamed the country’s bureaucracy for delaying paymentsto the firm hired for finding assets of political leaders abroad that ledto a USD 9 million fine.
