State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has thanked all the overseas Pakistanis forsupporting Roshan Digital Account as its deposits have crossed $800mn,after an inflow of $212mn in March.
SBP tweeted,
“A big thanks to our Overseas Pakistanis! #RoshanDigitalAccount depositshave crossed $800mn, after an inflow of $212mn in March.”

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) with the support of eight major banks in thecountry launched the Roshan Digital Account project under which Pakistanidiaspora could be able to avail the banking facility from a digital paymentsystem and the consumers would be able to open their bank accounts withoutvisiting bank, embassy or consulate.
Under the initiative, the Pakistanis living abroad would be able to operatetheir accounts without visiting the country and could avail facilities ofdirect banking, bill payment and other e-commerce facilities.
